HGMS operates as the link between HGV drivers and a national chain of builders suppliers all across the UK; therefore supplying drivers as needed to our client all across this local area. Our contract involves recruiting Class 2 HGV drivers throughout Wakefield to deliver supplies and also to act as the face of our client’s brand. In order to fulfil this request and to make sure that all new recruits possess both skill and the element needed to represent our client to their fulfilment, we perform both remote and personal interviews.
As a privately-owned company, HGMS is constantly seeking qualified, experienced drivers in our local branches. Our client is one of the largest building suppliers in the country and as such, new employment opportunities are always opening up – particularly for experienced hard-working candidates.
Our aim is to provide consistent work for qualified drivers through our client Saint-Gobain Building Distribution, who own a number of brands including Minster, Gibbs & Dandy, Jewson, Graham, Fraser, Tile Group, etc. Every new prospect is vetted for client satisfaction and our company has extensively researched driver benefits packages all across the UK in order to come up with some of the most competitive working hours and pay rates for our drivers.
On the other hand, we insist on hiring highly motivated professionals who are prepared to work diligently and represent a renowned brand in Wakefield.
Initially, we conduct a basic interview over the telephone, but in order for you to be considered for employment, we insist on a physical meeting at one of our local branches. The application process for HGV drivers is very straightforward; just click on the “Apply” button and proceed to fill out the form with personal details such as name, phone number and email address. We don’t ask for other specific personal information at this stage; only a way for us to contact you.
A member of our team will then contact you and proceed with a 20-minute interview during which all the pertinent questions are asked. This also gives you a great opportunity to ask additional question in regards to the role. When our team gathers sufficient information regarding qualification and previous working experience, they will then arrange a one-on-one interview at one of our branches in the Wakefield area. In this interview our team discusses all aspects of the job including potential benefits to you.
What Is The Expected Working Radius In Wakefield?
All new drivers are assigned a base branch location from which the working radius is calculated. We normally expect our drivers to only travel as far as 30 miles from the home branch location; however if any requirement is presented for longer travels our team will be there to make sure the driver fulfills the order comfortably.
